How do we all see learning, a day to day experience or our education? I had this ego about myself, when I completed my degree that I have achieved something big in my life, only to realize one day that I did not know how to fill a form in a bank and an office boy taught me how it was done. So for all those who believe that education means everything and that knowledge is attained through certificates please think again, as it brings you knowledge but not experience and that is what I would consider learning. Our certificates make us have a superior ego, which actually makes us look very small, though we don’t consider ourselves in that manner. It creates a barrier of openness to learning and that is a curse for our improvement.
Let me tell you what I think about learning. Learning for me is a process of improving yourself on a day to day basis, with the thought each day that you are going to learn something new which can be through your books, your job, your relationships or an incident which happens in your life, it can be just about anything that relates to you? Learning is just not education.
Most of us are so disappointed in life that we did not learn at the right time. There is no such thing as the right time. What makes us so irrational that we don’t learn from our education, the jobs we did, our relationships and most importantly our lives. We know that most of the things we do are not right to our conscience, yet we do it. We as Human Beings, who are supposed to be the most intelligent species, never learn from our mistakes. We make the same mistakes over and over and over again. There is nothing wrong in making a mistake as long as you learn from it and don’t repeat it. I have this feeling of certainty when it comes to love and nothing else is more satisfying and worth sacrificing than love. I do not know why, but love for me is not a learning experience but a living experience and that no matter how many ever times I have to live it over and make the same mistakes I am ready to do it, but the judgments are my own. So let go of your egos and start learning from everyone around you and you will realize that learning is not just in our certificates but in our lives and learning to live our lives for the betterment of others is the education we need to get. The truth is learning never stops; you learn all your life. The most important thing we have to learn is, how to be a better person and how to improve our lives along with others.
